Do you thrive in a hands-on manufacturing environment where no two days are the same? We re looking for a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor to take ownership of a busy production department within a well-established manufacturing business. This is a key role for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, solving technical challenges, and developing people. What you ll be doing: Leading and organising the day-to-day operations of a busy department Fault finding on bespoke machinery, diagnosing issues and getting equipment back up and running Undertaking tool changes and ensuring machines are set correctly Training and mentoring operatives to build team flexibility and capability Liaising with production teams, toolroom and maintenance to meet targets and optimise performance Supporting continuous improvement activities including Gemba walks What you ll need: Strong mechanical engineering background apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent Solid hands-on experience in a production/manufacturing environment Proven knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems Experience fault finding and maintaining bespoke machinery Confidence supervising, mentoring and organising people Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong communication skills What s in it for you?
