Job Description

Mobile Vehicle Technician (Fleet)

Locations: North West & Surrounding Areas

Salary: Up to £40,000 basic + performance bonus (OTE £60,000)

Contract: Permanent

A well-established automotive group is expanding its Mobile Service Team and is looking for skilled Vehicle Technicians who want more autonomy, variety, and future-focused training.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being out on the road, managing their own day, and delivering high-quality work directly to customers, without the constraints of a traditional workshop.

What makes this different

You'll start and finish your day from home, travelling to customer locations to carry out servicing, diagnostics and repairs. With a 24/7 operation, there's flexibility around working patterns, allowing you to shape a schedule that suits you.

Alongside this, you'll receive industry-leading training, including IMI Level 3 Electric Vehicle certification within your first 12 months, ensuring your skills stay relevant as the industry evolves.

What you'll be doing

  • Carrying out servicing, repairs and diagnostics across a range of vehicles
  • Completing more complex mechanical work, including cambelts and gearbox repairs
  • Delivering a high standard of technical work and customer service
  • Managing your own daily schedule across multiple locations
  • Representing the business professionally in a customer-facing role

What you'll need

  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician
  • Experience carrying out cambelts, clutch and gearbox work
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Confidence working independently in a mobile environment

What's on offer

  • Up to £40,000 basic salary depending on experience
  • Performance-related bonus with realistic OTE of £60,000
  • 33 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Option to buy or sell additional leave
  • Pension scheme and life assurance
  • Employee vehicle purchase scheme
  • Discounts on servicing, parts and bodyshop work
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Access to a wide range of retail discounts
  • Toolbox insurance
  • Paid volunteering day each year

You'll also attend a fully supported residential induction in your first week, giving you the time and space to properly settle into the role and understand the business.

The culture

This is an organisation that takes inclusion seriously, creating an environment where people are respected, supported, and able to progress. Flexible working is actively considered, and the focus is on long-term careers rather than short-term fixes.
