Fast Track ARC, a busy and well-established crash repair centre in Enfield, is looking for an experienced and skilled Panel Beater to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:00am 5:00pm
Overtime available
Performance bonuses included
Salary:
£45,000 £55,000 per year (depending on experience)
Role Overview
As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards. You will work on a variety of vehicles, ensuring all repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage to determine repair or replacement requirements
- Repair panels by removing dents and reshaping metal using specialist tools
- Remove and replace damaged panels, ensuring precise alignment
- Carry out welding and joining using MIG brazing, spot welding, riveting, and bonding techniques
- Perform structural repairs using jigs and pulling systems
- Prepare surfaces for refinishing, including filling, sanding, and priming
Key Skills & Requirements
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body construction and repair techniques
- Experience working with materials such as steel and aluminium
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Physically fit and able to carry out demanding, hands-on work
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Body Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role within a body shop or accident repair centre
- Full UK driving licence preferred
