To ensure public toilet facilities in Pontesbury are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety for residents and visitors, contributing to a positive public environment.

Working hours are every Monday, Wednesday and Friday 1 hour per day.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise public toilet facilities, including toilets, sinks, floors, walls, mirrors, and touchpoints
• Replenish consumables such as toilet paper, soap, and hand towels
• Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with council procedures
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly, following COSHH guidelines
• Carry out regular checks to ensure facilities are safe, tidy, and presentable
• Report any damage, vandalism, maintenance issues, or health and safety concerns promptly
• Lock and unlock facilities as required
• Work independently and manage time effectively to meet cleaning schedules

Essential:

• Ability to carry out physical cleaning duties
• Understanding of basic hygiene and health & safety practices
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work to a schedule
• Ability to work independently
• Previous cleaning experience, particularly in public or commercial settings
• Knowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals
