Hours - 33.6 per week

4 day on - Two days of 7am - 7pm and Two nights of 7pm - 7am

6 rest days

Location - High Temperature Incineration Plant, Ellesmere Port, CH65 4EQ

What will you be doing?

  • Assist in maintaining the supply of waste both solid and liquid to the incineration plant, the in-feeding of packaged waste via the Drum System, Shredding, Mixing & Pumping facility, Repack Airlock, Bulk Feed System
  • Assisting the Day Team with waste handling, tanker offloading and general handling requirements.
  • Make up liquid waste blends and transfer liquids together with changing over blends as
  • Providing written and verbal plant performance information to key internal customers
  • Ensure that slag and ash dischargers can discharge safely into available skips
  • Form part of the shift first responder support in the event of an emergency



What are we looking for?

  • Process industry experience as a control operator or similar
  • Basic awareness of HSE legislation and chemical handling safe practices
  • Forklift truck experience
  • Understanding of the incineration process and impact of varying waste feeds.
  • Basic Industrial Fire Fighting techniques including use of Self Contained Breathing Apparatus.
  • A willingness to learn and drive to work through various shift operator levels to control operator and beyond.
