Production Supervisor

Location: Daventry
Commutable from: Daventry and surrounding areas

Salary: 44,460 per annum
Hours: 45 hours per week 07:00 - 17:00

The Role

Responsible for managing production teams and ensuring manufacturing output is delivered efficiently in line with the production plan.

  • Managing and monitoring production process improvements to maximise efficiency
  • Supporting a customer-focused approach and continuous improvement
  • Reducing downtime and improving productivity through work study processes
  • Working closely with production planning to meet output targets
  • Supervising and motivating production teams
  • Reviewing performance alongside the Production Manager
  • Identifying training needs across the team
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
  • Handling first line production HR matters
  • Leading 5S audits across departments
  • Coordinating stocking and kitting activities for production

About You

  • Proven experience in a hands-on production supervisory or management role
  • Experience within manufacturing environments including welding, laser, CNC or presswork
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Able to motivate teams and work collaboratively across departments
  • IT literate including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to prioritise workload

Desirable

  • Experience within high mix low volume manufacturing
  • Background in automotive, aerospace or similar industries
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing methods
  • Six Sigma training
