Key Responsibilities • Deliver engaging, practical Science lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students • Teach within your specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics preferred) • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and scientific enquiry • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback • Contribute to curriculum planning and collaborate with the wider Science department • Support GCSE students with exam preparation, coursework, and revision strategies • Encourage involvement in STEM enrichment activities such as clubs and science events • Play an active role in the wider life of the school Ideal Candidate • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification (strong unqualified candidates will also be considered) • Experience teaching Science at secondary level • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for science education • Creative, student-centred teaching approach • Effective classroom management with high expectations for all learners • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service What the School Offers • A friendly, supportive, and collaborative Science department • Modern science laboratories and excellent teaching resources • Ongoing CPD and professional development opportunities • A positive school culture with a focus on staff wellbeing and career progression • On-site parking and excellent transport links, including access via Bushey railway station How to Apply Ready to inspire the next generation of scientists?
