Overview
We are seeking a number of Assembly Technicians to join a fast-growing engineering and manufacturing customer of ours in Surrey.
Initially on a 2 month fixed-term-contract, this is a hands-on role supporting the build and assembly of the company s pioneering, clean-technology product.
Main Duties
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components in line with detailed engineering instructions
- Support production builds and assist with kitting parts for assembly
- Maintain high quality standards, ensuring component traceability and minimal rework
- Diagnose and resolve assembly issues to keep production on schedule
- Accurately record assembly processes, including any deviations or modifications
- Follow health & safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workspace
Technical Prerequisites
- Background in mechanical and/or electrical assembly
- Ideally experience within automotive (or similar sectors such as aerospace, motorsport, or commercial vehicles) not essential
- Alternatively, a vehicle technician background would be considered
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (2D/3D) and assembly instructions
- Strong hands-on skills with good fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Awareness of health & safety and use of PPE
Desirable:
- Electrical harnessing experience (LV/HV)
- Experience within a production or prototype assembly environment
- Forklift licence
Hours / Package
- Location: Surrey (near M25)
- Salary: £32,000 (pro rata)
- Contract: Initially fixed-term (2 months)
