Please note this role is going to be on a rotating shift pattern (3 shifts or 4 shifts). What you'll do: Maintaining our excellent quality standards, being an integral part of our manufacturing process. Welding of Nickel, Steel and Alloys using various processes including TIG welding in accordance with defined specifications and procedures, as detailed within the Manufacturing Instructions and Data Cards. The role will require you to work to tight tolerances, experience of this will need to be demonstrated at interview. Work within strict HS&E guidelines, Maintaining a clean and safe environment. We work within a cutting edge manufacturing facility, so a basic IT knowledge is essential. The skills you'll need: Completed a recognised time-served apprenticeship including City and Guilds, NVQ3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline. (Original trade papers must be available for review at interview). Experienced of Welding to Aerospace standards. Experience in working with Nickels/Steels and Alloys. Ability to read and interpret design drawings (considered an asset). Professional and flexible attitude, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels. Able to willing to work a multi-shift pattern including nights. Be self-motivated, with the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team. Understand how to maintain a clean and safe environment in the workplace and how to work to set deadlines to achieve performance targets.
