Job Description

  • Working from a home base you will be the technical lead on the more complex domestic and commercial subsidence claims, providing expert guidance to colleagues and clients.
  • Managing complex subsidence investigations from first visit to final resolution
  • Visiting damaged properties to assess structural, technical and insurance related issues
  • Designing and overseeing stabilisation schemes and repair strategies
  • Producing high quality technical reports, specifications and tender documents
  • Interpreting geotechnical investigations and advising on foundation solutions
  • Administering building contracts, valuations and variations
  • Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, Planning, CDM and Party Wall legislation
  • Working closely with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, contractors and local authorities
  • Supporting and mentoring colleagues, and contributing to training delivery
  • Maintaining accurate case records and meeting service level expectations

About you:

  • Our client is seeking someone with the technical depth and confidence to handle highly complex subsidence cases.

You will ideally have:

  • MRICS or MCIOB or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Surveying or a related discipline
  • Strong experience in subsidence investigation and building pathology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid understanding of buildings insurance, contract administration and construction law
  • UK driving licence
