Working from a home base you will be the technical lead on the more complex domestic and commercial subsidence claims, providing expert guidance to colleagues and clients.
Managing complex subsidence investigations from first visit to final resolution
Visiting damaged properties to assess structural, technical and insurance related issues
Designing and overseeing stabilisation schemes and repair strategies
Producing high quality technical reports, specifications and tender documents
Interpreting geotechnical investigations and advising on foundation solutions
Administering building contracts, valuations and variations
Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, Planning, CDM and Party Wall legislation
Working closely with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, contractors and local authorities
Supporting and mentoring colleagues, and contributing to training delivery
Maintaining accurate case records and meeting service level expectations
About you:
Our client is seeking someone with the technical depth and confidence to handle highly complex subsidence cases.
You will ideally have:
MRICS or MCIOB or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Surveying or a related discipline
Strong experience in subsidence investigation and building pathology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Solid understanding of buildings insurance, contract administration and construction law
