Injection Moulding Setter Job Overview Prepare in advance for production changeovers by ensuring all necessary tools, materials, and equipment are ready. Carry out safe machine shutdowns at the end of production runs, following all relevant Safe Systems of Work (SSOW). Carefully remove moulds from machines and return them to their designated storage locations. Clear away any materials not required for the upcoming job and ensure adequate supply for the next run. Safely install the appropriate tool for the next production cycle, ensuring correct and secure setup. Accurately complete daily performance records and reporting. Set a positive example to support continuous business improvement and team performance. Maintain high standards of product quality and maximize machine uptime. Run production processes in line with standard settings and ensure First Off parts meet acceptance criteria. Optimize machine settings to meet or exceed target cycle times and cavity utilisation. Ensure production machines are set up in a clean, safe, and orderly condition for operators. Configure machine monitoring systems with correct tolerances for consistent, repeatable processes. Accurately update production data within business monitoring systems. Complete all documentation thoroughly and precisely. Troubleshoot machine issues affecting quality, performance, or safety. Identify and implement improvements in SMED, TPM, mould handling, process efficiency, material handling, recycling, and automation to reduce manual tasks. Deliver all assigned tasks On Time, In Full, and To Specification. Conduct weekly checks to confirm IMM fitness for use. Injection Moulding Setter Job Requirements Proven experience in an Injection Moulding Setter role is essential. Recognised qualifications in Injection Moulding Setting and Processing. Competence in crane operation, lifting/slinging, and using PPT equipment. Strong team player with a collaborative working style. Clear communicator at both shop floor and management levels. Capable of remaining composed and effective under pressure. Flexible, approachable, and adaptable in a dynamic environment. IMT qualification is a plus. Working for Waukesha Bearings, a part of Dover Precision Components, as a Skilled CNC Operator you will be part of a fully integrated Computer Aided Manufacturing facility, utilising CNC machining centres for turning, milling and grinding operations to produce customised designs from a variety of steel grades, copper, brass, aluminium and bronze. What You Will Bring Time-served apprenticeship in a machining discipline or SVQ/NVQ level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Engineering A minimum of 5 years' experience operating CNC machine tools within a lean-manufacturing work environment Established milling, grinding or turning experience utilising multi-axis machine tools, ideally Correa and/or Doosan or similar Experience working with machine control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhaim or Haas Proven ability to hold tight machining tolerances of less than .0025mm Experienced with precision inspection equipment including, but not limited to, micrometres, callipers, height gauges and bore gauges Ideally with experience in the power generation, oil & gas, aerospace or similar environment What You Will Do Read process sheets, blueprints and sketches of part to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up and operating requirements Locate and download programs from a DNC storage system Interpret work instructions, identify, select and install proper tooling for operations being performed Calculate proper feeds and speeds for a variety of steel grades, copper, brass, aluminium and bronze Read, understand, edit or write complete programs Intuitively understand capabilities of tooling and machinery Understand applicable quality systems and perform necessary quality inspections Apply principles of Lean Manufacturing to reduced setup times and improve productivity Visually inspects final components Perform boxing of parts to include cleaning, oiling, wrapping and boxing the final product for shipment Perform cleaning, fitting, filing, tapping, reaming, blending, polishing and aligning to ensure free action of movable parts and operating requirements Use precision measuring instruments and gauging devices and performs various quality inspection type procedures to include dimensional verification Properly identify components after assembly/manufacture DOVER PRECISION COMPONENTS Dover Precision Components is part of Dover Corporation's Pumps and Process solutions segment.
