Overview
A friendly, down-to-earth family based in Chobham is seeking a reliable and proactive full-time Housekeeper to support the smooth running of their home.
This is a hands-on role within a large family home, suited to someone who is comfortable working independently and taking ownership of day-to-day household tasks. The role is primarily focused on housekeeping and the consistent care of the family's two dogs.
The family are looking for someone practical, adaptable and easy to have around, who is happy to get on with what needs doing without close direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Full housekeeping of a large family home
- Cleaning, tidying and maintaining an organised household
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
- Care of two dogs, including daily walking, feeding, and letting them in and out
- House and dog care when the family are away, including occasional weekend cover
- Driving and general errands as required
- A fair amount of driving during school holidays when the family are in residence (e.g. sports activities, parties, shops and children's commitments)
- Liaising with external contractors where needed
- Supporting the overall smooth running of the household
- Light gardening or coordination with gardeners
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a private household
- Confident managing a home independently
- Proactive, organised and able to take initiative
- Comfortable with dogs and daily dog care
- Flexible and reliable, particularly around house-sitting
- Strong driving experience and confidence on the road
- Fluent English
- Right to work in the UK
