We're working with a well-established firm that's looking to welcome an Employment Solicitor with around 2-5 years' PQE. They want someone who doesn't just know the law but lives and breathes the fast pace of employment work - someone sharp, dependable, and confident in a busy team environment. If your background includes time in a city practice or a solid medium-to-large firm, and you've already built a strong foundation in all areas of employment law, you'll feel right at home here.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To provide effective support services to the firm. Duties will include:

• Advising on day-to-day HR and employment law issues
• Drafting employment contracts, policies, and staff handbooks
• Handling and advising Settlement Agreements, Redundancy Matters, and Employment Tribunal claims
• Supporting corporate transactions with employment law input (TUPE, due diligence, etc.)
• Assisting with business development, client training sessions, and marketing initiatives
• Exposure to both the claimant and respondent's employment work

KEY SKILLS:

• Sound legal knowledge, drafting and advisory skills
• Experience of undertaking advocacy in court/chambers/tribunal setting
• Experience of presenting to an audience
• Commercial, practical and financial awareness
• Confidence and ability to communicate at senior levels
• Excellent interpersonal and marketing skills with the ability to develop contacts for the team and the firm
• Problem solving
• Strong ambition for career development
• Team player able to fit into a friendly, busy team
• Negotiation skills
• Organisational ability
• Ability to be responsible for own caseload (under supervision where relevant)
