Class Supervision: You will supervise whole classes (up to 30 pupils) primarily across KS3 and KS4, covering pre-set lessons during short-term teacher absences (not expected to teach or plan). Behaviour Management: The core of this role is maintaining a focused and productive learning environment. You will utilise your strong communication and leadership skills-honed through sports, coaching, or similar roles-to manage student behaviour and enforce school policies consistently. Engagement: Motivate students to complete the pre-set tasks, encouraging a positive work ethic and participation, particularly drawing on a proactive, coaching style. Reporting: Report back to the Head of Department/Cover Manager regarding student engagement, completed work, and any significant behavioural issues encountered during the lesson. Support Duties: When not covering classes, you may assist the PE department, Inclusion Team, or general school administration, depending on need. Essential Requirements A degree in Sports Science, Coaching, Physical Education , or a similar discipline.
