MOT Tester

Our client, a leading automotive tyre and fast fit centre group in Cheltenham, is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join their busy workshop team. Duties of the MOT Tester:

• Conduct all aspects of MOT testing in accordance with government standards.
• Support customers throughout the process by providing updates and explanations regarding test results.
• Diagnose and carry out associated servicing and repair work where applicable.
• Assist in general workshop duties to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and customer care as an MOT Tester.
• Liaise effectively with colleagues to coordinate workload efficiently.
• Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and testing procedures.

Requirements:

• Valid and active Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence.
• UK driving licence with minimal points.
• Ideally, qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Alternatively, recognised technical experience with a valid MOT licence.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail.
• Prior experience working in a busy automotive environment is preferred.
