Your new company HMP Cardiff is a Category B men's prison located in the centre of Cardiff, Wales. It primarily holds adult and young adult male offenders, including those on remand and those serving short sentences. Your new role As a painter and decorator, you will be required to ensure the site is maintained to the agreed standard with the undertaking of planned maintenance, refurbishment and new works. Painting and decorating staff and prisoner facilities on the estate, with adherence to Health and Safety guidelines and security procedures to meet the site's short term and long-term goals and objectives. Support the effective management of tool inventory and maintain security standards within the designated work area. Take accountability for compliance with Health and Safety legislation and company policy, including undertaking roles such as Fire Warden and/or First Aider when required. All tools and equipment are provided on site. Hours are Monday to Friday- 8-4.30pm- 39 hrs per week.
