We are seeking an Import/Export Co-ordinator with some experience - Langley A friendly freight forwarder based in Langley are currently looking for an import/export co-ordinator with some experience to join their team (ideally someone with at least one year experience in this industry). You will be joining a team where you will be dealing with all the aspects of a busy freight forwarding company. This will include courier, import, and export freight and using all our office-based systems. The Package Salary Up to £30,000 (depending on experience) Monday - Friday (office hours 9 to 5.30pm - 37 hour week). One-hour unpaid lunch break. The Role Dealing with customers both in the UK and worldwide. You will be completing full import and export customs clearances for air freight and European road freight. Booking courier shipments. Handling timely updates and arranging deliveries. Completing airway bills. Dealing with airlines. Using systems such as: ASM Sequoia, and Box-Top. Dealing with client's equipment for international trade shows and congress meetings The Requirements The candidates must have: - the ability to communicate well, good IT skills, and be ready to become part of our busy friendly team. Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm £28,000 - £32,000 DOE Plus Bonus Previous experience in processing and completing Import and export entries using CDS, for European road freight clearances and deep-sea ocean freight clearances. Confidence in navigating HMRC's online tariffs (UK online trade tariff and other .Gov resources) with a solid understanding of customs commodity codes, procedures and CDS requirements. Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements, as well as an understanding of Origin and Preference. Experience of a wide range of entry declarations (including home use, returned goods, temporary import/export, multiple item). Experience with CNS and Destin8 port systems. Our forwarding software is Multifreight/Multished, experience with this software would be beneficial. Able to calculate and process customs duties and taxes, ensuring efficient clearance of goods through ports of entry. Confidence in communicating with customs authorities, shipping agents, internal departments, and clients to resolve issues and provide guidance Able to raise T1 documents and knowledge regarding the transit procedure. Job creating and invoicing. Strong attention to detail, ensuring work meets the AEO standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Being part of a team responsible for arranging a variety of customs declarations for key clients, ensuring prompt processing to maintain a high level of service.
