Town Planner - Bedford

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Town Planner to join a well-established and highly respected multidisciplinary consultancy based in Bedford. This is an excellent role for a Planner looking to work on a diverse portfolio of projects while developing their career within a collaborative and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced planning professionals, delivering planning advice and managing projects across residential, commercial, mixed-use, and strategic development schemes.
The Role
- Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals
- Conducting site appraisals and planning research
- Liaising with local authorities, clients, consultants, and stakeholders
- Supporting project delivery from inception through to approval
- Assisting with planning strategies and development opportunities
- Preparing reports, statements, and supporting documentation
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline
- MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership
- Previous experience within a consultancy or local authority environment
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage workload effectively and work within a team
