The Role: In your first one to two weeks, you will be paired with one of our driver trainers to learn how to safely deliver and collect various customer workloads. Your role within the company will be to provide holiday and sickness cover across our fleet. We would be looking for you to cover planned holidays for our full-time drivers, as well as occasional short-notice absences. All PPE required for training will be issued prior to your start date. Your work will vary from week to week, but you will return to either our Grays or Shoebury depot throughout the week. All hours are paid as per tachograph, including breaks. Jobs will be allocated throughout the week via email and the transport team, so good communication is essential. Any delays, issues or relevant information must be communicated promptly.
