Arrange and lead on estate walkabouts and patch inspections along with residents and other stakeholders where appropriate. Identify health and safety concerns including reporting repairs to buildings, over-grown trees and shrubs and communal areas. Play an active role in co-producing and commissioning planned enhancements to our services and to the built environment. To provide elected members and MPs with information to carry out their democratic and/or governance responsibilities To encourage tenants to be actively involved in the upkeep of their area, to be involved in the local community and empower residents to influence the decision-making process. Forge relationships with involved customers, encouraging greater levels of customer involvement targeting new tenants. To be visible and responsive in the neighbourhood, arranging planned activities including community events and activities, facilitating joint working with other teams encouraging tenants to be actively involved in the upkeep of their area. To provide multi-channel access to tenants to discuss their needs using digital channels and face to face surgeries the CHO will be the first point of contact for residents and local members. To be vigilant to identifying safeguarding and support needs, and to engage with all applicable services to prevent harm and sustain tenancies. A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join one of Adecco Public Sector's most improved Housing Association clients in a temporary post, initially for 3 months. Key responsibilities include: Investigating ASB, environmental crime and public nuisance complaints Responding to incidents and carrying out enforcement activity Gathering evidence and preparing case files Issuing warnings, notices and enforcement actions where appropriate Working closely with residents, councillors, police and partner agencies Managing reactive and proactive enforcement operations Areas of enforcement include: Anti-Social Behaviour Fly-tipping, littering and environmental crime Noise nuisance and out-of-hours response Unlicensed street trading Highways and waste enforcement Public nuisance investigations We re looking for candidates with: Experience within enforcement, regulatory services, community safety or policing Experience investigating ASB, environmental crime or public nuisance matters Knowledge of relevant enforcement legislation and procedures, including the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload Desirable experience: Previous police or law enforcement background Experience within ASB or environmental enforcement teams Experience preparing prosecution or evidential case files INDRRH
