Chef / Cook - Black Sheep Brewery Visitor Centre Location: Masham, North Yorkshire Salary: £26,000-£28,000 per year (Full time, pro-rata for part time) Job Type: Flexible - full or part time position available Date posted: 28 April 2026 About Us Black Sheep Brewery is one of Yorkshire's most iconic breweries, famous for bold, full-flavoured ales and a proud heritage in British brewing. As part of the Great British Drinks Company, we sit alongside some of the UK's most respected drinks brands, sharing the same commitment to quality, tradition, and innovation. Our Visitor Centre is a hub for beer lovers, welcoming guests for brewery tours, events, themed nights, and relaxed dining. The food we serve complements our award-winning beers - fresh, seasonal, and crafted with care, always consistent and rooted in Yorkshire flavour. The Role We're looking for a reliable and skilled Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team and support the delivery of high-quality food across all services. This is a hands-on role where you'll take responsibility for your section, working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to maintain standards of quality, consistency, and presentation. You'll play a key part in delivering excellent service across daytime dining, group bookings, brewery tours, and weekend trade. Key Responsibilities Run and manage your section during service Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard Support the wider kitchen team during busy periods Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety Assist with stock control, prep, and minimising waste Support events, group bookings, and themed nights Contribute ideas for menu development and daily specials What We're Looking For Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong Commis Chef ready to step up Experience working with fresh food in a fast-paced kitchen Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team Good organisational skills and attention to detail Level 2 Food Safety Certificate required A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn What We Offer Competitive salary depending on experience (£26,000-£28,000 per year) Full-time hours (40-45 hours per week) with only three evening services, or part time 20 hours (we can be flexible on number of hours) Staff meals on shift and staff discounts Opportunity to work with one of Yorkshire's most respected brewery brands Be part of the Great British Drinks Company, joining a family of iconic British drinks brands
