Job Description

Job Purpose:

As a Production Operator you will operate in a Food Processing environment using machinery and equipment involved in the production of cream-based products, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and efficiency standards throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate production machinery for cream manufacturing.
  • Monitor production processes, filling, and packaging, to ensure smooth operation.
  • Perform routine quality control checks.
  • Record production data and maintain accurate batch documentation / traceability.
  • Ensure all production activities comply with procedures, food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work areas before and after use.
  • Identify and report machinery faults.
  • Able to perform some PPM duties.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in dairy or food production advantageous.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards advantageous.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate, monitor, and adjust machinery including fault identification and corrective action.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting.
  • Comfortable working in temperature-controlled environments (during summer-time it can get very hot).Company pension

    Discretionary Annual Bonus, Health Scheme 23-25 days Holidays, No Bank Holiday working, Staff events, Xmas party etc. Up to 7 days sickness paid

    Hours: Monday to Friday 6.00 to 14:30 or 8.00am to 16:30 rotating weekly, requirement to start at 05:30 subject to workload.

    Salary: Starting rate 27,300 to 27,800 per annum, with further incremental increases subject to training.
