With a well-established planning team in the Midlands and an impressive portfolio of private and public sector clients, they are seeking an ambitious Town Planner to join their growing office in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. The Role As a Town Planner, you will work on a varied range of planning projects across the UK, supporting clients from initial site appraisal through to planning determination and delivery. Key responsibilities will include: Preparing and managing planning applications, appeals and site promotion projects. Undertaking planning appraisals and development feasibility assessments. Providing planning advice to a diverse client base. Drafting planning statements and supporting reports. Liaising with local planning authorities, consultees and key stakeholders. Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, including architects, highways consultants, ecologists and landscape architects. Supporting business development activities and strengthening client relationships. Attending client meetings, site visits and public consultation events where required. About You We are keen to hear from candidates who possess: A degree and/or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline. MRTPI status or progress towards chartership. Experience within a planning consultancy or local authority environment. Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and current planning policy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. A proactive and commercially aware approach to client service. What's On Offer?
