Warehouse Operative

Nottingham NG15

Full Time, Permanent

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Hours may be varied and extended beyond the normal hours according to business requirements

About the Role

This is a multi-skilled Warehouse & Operations role within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be trained across several areas of the operation, including order fulfilment, goods-in processing, stock control, quality assurance, and operational support activities.

The role is designed to develop flexible team members who can work across multiple functions depending on business needs, including:

Order picking, packing, and processing

Goods-in receipt and checking of deliveries

Stock replenishment and inventory management

Cycle counting and stock accuracy activities

Basic product assembly and value-added services

Quality control checks on incoming and outgoing goods

Key Responsibilities:

Order Fulfilment & Dispatch

Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch

Ensure all orders are checked prior to shipping

Process orders using warehouse systems and dispatch procedures

Goods In & Stock Control

Receive, check, and book in incoming deliveries

Support stock organisation, replenishment, and storage accuracy

Carry out cycle counts and assist with stock investigations

Quality & Operational Standards

Carry out quality checks on products and packaging

Maintain high standards of housekeeping and warehouse organisation

Follow all health & safety procedures at all times

Systems & Team Support

Liaise with customer service and operations teams using Microsoft Office and other systems (e.g. Freshdesk)

Support wider operational requirements as needed across departments

Continuous Development

Participate in cross-training across multiple warehouse functions

Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives

Take ownership of learning new operational skills over time

You will be:

Detail-focused - able to spot errors in stock, paperwork, and order information, and take pride in accuracy

Willing to learn and multi-skill - open to training across goods-in, picking, packing, stock control, and operational processes

Reliable and consistent - punctual, dependable, and able to maintain performance in a fast-paced environment

Process-driven - comfortable following structured procedures and supporting continuous improvement

Hands-on and practical - enjoys active, physical work and problem-solving in a warehouse setting

Team-oriented - communicates effectively and supports colleagues across different functions

Calm under pressure - able to manage workload during busy periods without compromising accuracy

Accountable - takes ownership of work quality and understands the importance of getting things right first time

Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Freshdesk is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided across all operational areas, including goods-in, quality control, inventory systems, and dispatch processes.
