Key Responsibilities Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups throughout the school day Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities Support pupils with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and learning needs Encourage independence and promote positive learning behaviours Adapt support strategies to meet individual learning needs and Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets where applicable Work collaboratively with class teachers and the SENCO Assist with personal care where required, following appropriate training and school guidance Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment What We're Looking For Experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable but not essential Experience in schools, childcare, youth work, care, or support work is advantageous A patient, caring, and resilient approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and individual pupil needs Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education Right to work in the UK Why Join Connex Education?
