MEP Technical (Mechanical) Manager My Client is a Tier 1 Main Contractor and a leading player in the UK construction market. They have a solid reputation on the international stage, being a Top 10 international construction and civil engineering business. They are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Manager to join their team, working across a variety of projects. Projects are based in London and the Southeast (including Jersey which will be supported remotely) and cover various sectors Healthcare, Residential Regeneration, Schools and Data Centres. MEP Technical (Mechanical) Manager Key Responsibilities You will provide overall design & engineering leadership/management for the business region(s), with responsibility for the delivery of design information. Skills Profile: Significant experience working with a main contractor or major subcontractor within the construction industry. Managing the co-ordination of designers and installers (which may be different sub-contractors) Reviewing site test documentation and RAMS for suitability, completeness and alignment. Managing site supervisors for M&E works and all aspects of installation handover, as well as all associated members of the team including Commissioning Engineers, Electrical Design Engineers and CAD Engineers. It is envisaged that the successful Mechanical and Electrical Manager (M&E Manager) candidate will be qualified to at least HND Electrical Engineering or above and demonstrate at least 4 years previous experience in a similar role with a high level of familiarity of electrical infrastructure and electrical principles normally associated with projects in transportation, power or comparable sizable projects from other sectors and extensive experience of supporting bids or preconstruction activities. With a good level of IT proficiency (Excel and Word mandatory) and be legally permitted to work in the Republic of Ireland without restriction, you will be comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail and the flexibility and adaptability to manage a range of different tasks and to work extra hours as required. This role can have a Mechanical or Electrical bias, with a preference for Mechanical, and report directly into the project lead for this job.
