A well-established environmental and engineering consultancy is seeking an Assistant Ecologist to join its growing team in Winchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Ecologist to work on a diverse range of projects across infrastructure, development and environmental sectors while developing their technical and field-based skills.

The successful Assistant Ecologist will support ecological surveys, habitat assessments, report writing and environmental impact work alongside experienced consultants. The role will involve site visits, data collection and assisting with project delivery across a variety of ecological projects.

Requirements:

• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related subject
• Previous ecology consultancy or fieldwork experience desirable
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Full right to work in the UK
• Must live in or near Winchester for office collaboration and site travel
• Good knowledge of UK habitats and protected species legislation
