Working at the heart of local policing and community safety, you'll play a key role in supporting the Police and Crime Commissioner, managing public correspondence and helping ensure the voices of Hertfordshire residents are heard. While also managing complex diaries and proving support to the Commissioner as he imparts his day-to day duties.

Key Responsibilities
This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of policing, crime prevention and public service in Hertfordshire working closely with the Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire.
As Executive Support and Correspondence Manager, you will provide high-level support to the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), helping to ensure the smooth and effective operation of a busy public office. You will play a key role in managing the PCC's correspondence, diary commitments and stakeholder engagement, helping residents, partners and community groups access the support and information they need.
You will be responsible for overseeing the handling of enquiries from members of the public, elected representatives and partner organisations, ensuring correspondence is managed professionally, accurately and within agreed timescales. You will also coordinate briefings, meetings and events, supporting the PCC's work across a wide range of community safety and criminal justice issues.
The successful candidate will be highly organised and pride themselves on being one step ahead, identify challenges early and ensuring things run smoothly behind the scenes. You will be confident working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
At the heart of the role is supporting the Police and Crime Commissioner to make the best use of his time and deliver for Hertfordshire residents. From managing a busy and often competing diary, to coordinating meetings, preparing briefings, handling correspondence and supporting stakeholder engagement, you will be trusted to keep things running smoothly and ensure the Commissioner is always prepared, informed and well-supported.
