CNC Grinding Machinist - Aerospace Manufacturing Overview Wild Recruitment is partnering with a leading Aerospace manufacturer seeking experienced CNC Grinding Machinists to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-precision components in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. Contract: Until July 2027 Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC grinding machines (surface and cylindrical). Interpret and work from complex aerospace engineering drawings and process specifications. Produce components to exact tolerances and surface finishes. Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometres, comparators). Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools. Complete production and quality documentation accurately. Adhere to all company health & safety and quality assurance procedures. Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure parts meet design intent and customer requirements. Required Experience Proven experience operating CNC grinding machines in a precision engineering or aerospace environment. Strong understanding of geometric tolerancing and machining best practices. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings confidently. Experience working to AS9100 standards (preferred). Skilled in using precision measuring equipment and maintaining accurate documentation. High attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset. Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering / CNC Machining (preferred). Why Join Us?
