Conrad Consulting is proud to be working with a highly regarded and growing property consultancy seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join its established team based in Hertfordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated surveyor looking to take ownership of a varied workload and manage multiple projects across Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality surveying and project management services to a diverse client base.

The Role

As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing a range of projects and professional instructions from inception through to completion. Working closely with clients and contractors, you will enjoy a high degree of autonomy while being supported by an experienced and collaborative team.

Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Managing multiple refurbishment and maintenance projects across the local region
  • Contract administration and project delivery
  • Carrying out condition surveys and defect diagnosis
  • Preparing specifications and schedules of work
  • Producing technical reports and recommendations
  • Undertaking dilapidations and other professional surveying instructions
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
About You
  • Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline
  • MRICS qualified, or working towards chartership
  • Previous experience within a consultancy environment
  • Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Strong technical knowledge and report-writing skills
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
  • Full UK driving licence
