This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated surveyor looking to take ownership of a varied workload and manage multiple projects across Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality surveying and project management services to a diverse client base.
The Role
As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing a range of projects and professional instructions from inception through to completion. Working closely with clients and contractors, you will enjoy a high degree of autonomy while being supported by an experienced and collaborative team.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Managing multiple refurbishment and maintenance projects across the local region
- Contract administration and project delivery
- Carrying out condition surveys and defect diagnosis
- Preparing specifications and schedules of work
- Producing technical reports and recommendations
- Undertaking dilapidations and other professional surveying instructions
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
About You
- Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- MRICS qualified, or working towards chartership
- Previous experience within a consultancy environment
- Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Strong technical knowledge and report-writing skills
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
- Full UK driving licence
