Vehicle Technician

Our client, a reputable automotive dealership group specialising in premium brands, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join their modern workshop in Southampton. Duties of the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester include:

• Conducting standard vehicle services and complex repairs in accordance with brand technical specifications
• Diagnosing faults accurately using advanced diagnostic tools
• Communicating effectively with customers regarding work required and vehicle condition
• Mentoring less experienced colleagues within the workshop
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant workshop environment
• Attending technical training sessions to remain current with industry standards

Requirements for the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester position:

• Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC, or NVQ Level 3 accreditation
• Proven experience working in a franchise dealership or authorised workshop
• MOT licence is essential for the role
• Strong fault diagnosis skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Organised, proactive, and capable of working within deadlines
