The Company undertakes works to restore some of the most important and historic buildings in London such as the National Gallery and the Bank of England . Role Purpose This role will support the team through loading, unloading, driving and operating of truck mounts, MEWPS, company lorries and vehicles whilst supporting their on-site teams with various tasks involved with cleaning and restoring of buildings. Hours of work are typically between 20:30pm 05:30am. Key Responsibilities: Driving and operating truck mounts, MEWPS and company lorries and vehicles. Loading, unloading, and strapping down of vehicles. Ability to complete thorough vehicle checks for road worthiness. Assisting specialists in completion of their duties and on-site support including basic construction tasks. Working Hours Monday to Friday 42.5 hours per week Key Responsibilities Unloading and loading deliveries safely and efficiently Receiving and storing stock in the correct warehouse or yard locations Picking and preparing customer orders for dispatch Loading vehicles in line with delivery schedules Signing for deliveries and reporting any damages or discrepancies Maintaining accurate stock records Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and safe Carrying out basic checks on forklifts and handling equipment Supporting stock takes and assisting with additional hours when required Providing relief HGV driving cover when needed About You Previous experience in a warehouse or yard environment preferred HGV licence (class 2) (for relief driving duties) - essential Valid forklift licence - desirable Good attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy Basic IT skills Strong understanding of health and safety practices Flexible, reliable, and proactive with a can-do attitude Confident communicator and able to work well within a team Able to work independently and take responsibility for tasks What's on Offer Salary of £29,960 per annum Temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term career prospects Potential for immediate permanent employment for the right candidate 25 days holiday plus bank holidays - once you have transferred to permanent contract Additional benefits including pension, life assurance, and employee discounts Supportive working environment with opportunities to develop your skills We would love to hear from you.
