Owen Daneils are supporting a well-established and growing manufacturing business, is currently looking to recruit a
CNC Improver / Machining Operative to join their production team on a permanent basis.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous
manufacturing and machining experience who is looking to further develop their career within a busy engineering environment. The successful candidate will ideally have exposure to
CNC machinery, with experience as a
CNC Machinist, CNC Setter/Operator, or Machining Operative, and be keen to build on their existing skills.Key Responsibilities:
- Operating CNC machinery within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Assisting with machine set-ups, tooling changes, and basic adjustments
- Producing components to engineering drawings and customer specifications
- Carrying out quality checks using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges
- Supporting the wider production team to ensure output targets and deadlines are achieved
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety and housekeeping at all times
- Reporting any machine faults, quality issues, or production concerns to management
- Working closely with experienced machinists and supervisors to continue developing machining skills
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment is essential
- Experience operating or working with CNC machinery
- Background as a CNC Machinist, CNC Operator, CNC Setter/Operator, Improver, or Machining Operative would be highly advantageous
- Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings
- Experience using measuring equipment and carrying out quality inspections
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Keen to learn, improve, and develop within a machining/engineering role
- Flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team
