Key Responsibilities Conduct pre-start checks and ensure machinery is safe and operational. Operate Material Handlers (Sennebogen, Fuchs, Liebherr) or similar safely and efficiently. Operate wheeled loading shovels and 360 excavators in line with site procedures. Work to established protocols while adhering to cardinal safety rules. Maintain a clean and organised work area. Comply with site health, safety, and environmental policies. Be prepared for due cause substance testing as required. About You / Requirements Previous experience operating Material Handlers and Wheeled Loading Shovels in recycling or similar facilities. UK Driving Licence. CPCS / NPORS or equivalent qualifications (desirable) for 360 Wheeled Excavator / Wheeled Loading Shovel. Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious. We are looking for an experienced HGV/PLANT Mechanic to join our team. Day to Day duties include but not limited to: Maintenance of our fleet of Skip Trucks, roll on roll off, Grab vehicles, Tippers, Artic units, Walking floors, Refuse vehicles and company vans. Maintenance of waste Shredders, Screeners, Conveyors, Loading shovels, Grabs, and various other pieces of plant. Welding and fabrication. MOT Preparation and presentation. Attending breakdowns as necessary. Using diagnostic equipment to correctly identify and repair faults. Replacing wheels and re-torques. Vehicle Inspections in line with our 'O' license requirements. Running repairs. Completion of all relevant paperwork & job cards. Supporting colleagues and working as part of a team. Working in other areas of the business as and when required. Experience Required: Vehicle HGV Mechanic: 5 years. Diagnostic experience.
