For: Junior Buyer
Location: Camberley
Salary banding DOE: £30k
Job Overview:
- The Junior Buyer will be responsible for obtaining pricing from UK suppliers, primarily online, to support our global sales team.
- For certain products, the Buyer will contact relevant short-line wholesale suppliers to source stock availability and pricing.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procurement and quality policies.
- Maintain accurate filing and archiving of procurement documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure effective communication and smooth workflow across the business.
- Meet the company's turnaround target of responding to sales team requests within 24 hours.
- Carry out relevant regulatory checks, including export ban lists and controlled drugs checks, before issuing quotations.
- Support all procurement-related administrative activities as required by colleagues within the department.
- Liaise regularly with internal departments including Sales, Accounts, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams.
- The role will evolve over time, with additional responsibilities provided as the Buyer develops and progresses within the company.
Person / Experience Required:
- Diploma or university degree.
- Additional certifications in procurement or related fields.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- SAGE experience desirable but not essential
