About the Role This role is ideal for a hands-on individual with a valid counterbalance forklift license. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including the safe transport of materials and the loading/unloading of lorries. You must be prepared to work outdoors in a physically demanding environment, which also involves performing manual labor and general yard duties. Key Responsibilities: Operate a counterbalance forklift for safe material transport, stacking, and loading/unloading. Conduct pre-use checks and routine maintenance on the forklift. Perform manual labor, including lifting up to 25kg, shoveling concrete, and other yard duties. Assist with maintaining a clean and organized site. About You We are looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety. Essential Requirements: A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence. A valid UK driving licence and access to a car. Previous experience within a quarry environment. Willingness to perform physically demanding manual labor. Strong verbal and written communication skills and an understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation. Details & Benefits Pay Rate: 13.56 per hour, with overtime at x1.5 (Monday-Saturday) and double pay on Sundays. Contract: An initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.
