Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and patient-focused Optometrist to join a well-established optical team in Gateshead. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Optometrist who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care while continuing to develop clinically within a supportive environment.

The role will involve carrying out eye examinations, contact lens clinics, and extended services, while working closely with the wider optical team to maintain high clinical and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations
• Deliver contact lens assessments and aftercare
• Provide enhanced and extended optical services
• Ensure exceptional levels of patient care and customer service
• Maintain accurate clinical records
• Support and work collaboratively with the wider store team
• Help maintain high professional and departmental standards
• Team Development:

  The successful candidate will have access to ongoing professional development and fully funded accreditations to support clinical progression. Opportunities to supervise students and further enhance professional skills are also available.

  About You:
• Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the GOC
• Registered NHS performer
• MECs or WECs accredited, or willing to gain accreditation
• Up to date with CPD requirements
• Passionate about patient care and clinical excellence

• Motivated to develop and progress professionally
