Electrical Estimator
East Midlands

Industrial Installations: Food & Beverage manufacturers, Distribution Centres and Warehouses.
Annual Earnings: £40,000-£50,000 P/A

Our client is a leading systems integrator within the Electro-Mechanical Automation Field, specialising in Electrical Installations within the Food & Beverages, Distribution and Automotive sectors.

Established for over 25 years and now an investment backed business with a welcoming team atmosphere, the company prides themselves on their ability to deliver high quality electrical products to their customers including key industry players.

Their services include Control Panel Design & Manufacturer, Switchgear, Electro-Mechanical Automation (Production line machinery), Installations & Commissioning, PLC wiring and maintenance contracts aswell as Testing & Inspection services. The majority of their customers have been with them for over 20 years which says a lot about the quality of their work and professional service.

The Role: Electrical Estimator

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical installations in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and automation environments
  • Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and layout plans to identify project requirements
  • Provide accurate material take-offs for containment systems including traywork, trunking, conduit, and ladder rack
  • Estimate labour requirements for control panels, motors, drives, sensors, and industrial electrical systems
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers to gather pricing information and technical specifications
  • Utilise Microsoft Excel to create detailed quotations and maintain estimating databases
  • Support the sales team with technical input during client presentations and tender submissions

Entry Requirements:

  • Strong background in industrial electrical installations within manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, FMCG, automation, or process environments
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and layout plans
  • Understanding of containment systems including traywork, trunking, conduit, ladder rack, and cable management
  • Experience with control panels, motors, drives, sensors, and industrial electrical systems
  • Knowledge of electrical installation practices, materials, and labour requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Full UK Driving Licence
