Senior Diagnostic Technician

(Remote Vehicle Diagnostics Specialist)

Nottingham, Full-Time, Permanent

£40,000+ (Negotiable Depending on Experience)

Monday to Friday: No Weekends, No Bank Holidays

You'll work with dealer-level diagnostic systems, support technicians remotely, tackle challenging faults and help customers achieve first-time fixes.

The Role

You'll provide expert remote support to garages and dealerships across the UK and Europe.

Responsibilities include:

Carrying out advanced remote diagnostics using dealer-level tools

Supporting technicians through fault-finding processes

Analysing live data and diagnostic results

Guiding customers through manufacturer test plans

Assisting with ECU functions, coding and programming

Providing technical support by phone, email and online chat

Staying up to date with evolving vehicle technologies

You'll work on:

Advanced fault diagnosis

Electrical and electronic systems

Vehicle communications networks

ECU programming

Software coding

Key programming

Complex manufacturer-level diagnostics

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Strong workshop-based diagnostic experience

Excellent fault-finding ability

Strong understanding of electrical and electronic vehicle systems

Ability to explain technical processes clearly to other technicians

Desirable:

Master Technician background

Experience with Stellantis vehicles

PSA/Diagbox skills advantageous but not necessary

Programming and coding experience

NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent
