You'll be working on a key multi-national (UK, France and Italy) next generation cruise-missile weapon system development project for MBDA. With challenging technical scope and delivery timescales, but with agile thinking and innovative lifecycle engineering, architecting and model-based systems engineering approaches in place to meet those challenges. A real opportunity to live MBDA's values, contribute to the success of the project and develop into a skilled and competent MBDA Weapon System Architect. What we're looking for: A Systems Engineer/Architect with an understanding of complex systems (ideally Weapon/Missile Systems), constituent sub-systems, platforms, and the systems architecting of them. Practical experience of modelling systems using model-based methods, processes and tools with an understanding of the system development lifecycle. The ability and cultural awareness to work with multi-disciplinary multi-national teams supporting technology and design collaboration and communication. Self-belief, confidence and conviction to identify and follow through on ideas and opportunities, to question and challenge others whilst being supportive and team oriented. An ability to clearly present, communicate and walk-through concepts and technical content to a variety of internal and external, technical and non-technical stakeholders. Here's what's in it for you: Learning and understanding of the STRATUS LO Weapon System capabilities from the developing architecture implemented as a federated set of architecture models. Become a key contributor to the further development and maturing of the architecture, to support design and integration of STRATUS LO onto the various launch platforms (both Air and Naval) and at various deployment locations. Become a practitioner of MBDA's Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) integrated desktop engineering development lifecycle toolset. That is, Requirements linked to Architecture linked to Design linked to Implementation linked to Proving. Become a Weapon System Architect with a holistic understanding of the constituent Sub-Systems that make up a Weapon System and the Information flow through the System.
