Roofer's Mate - South Wales & South Regio

Salary: 25,500 Basic + Overtime + Excellent Benefits

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Roofer's Mate to join a growing maintenance team working on behalf of a leading national discount retailer.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with roofing maintenance experience who is looking for a long-term career with a well-established company that offers regular overtime, ongoing training, and an excellent benefits package.

Working as part of a two-person team, you will support the Roofing Technician in delivering planned and reactive roofing maintenance across retail sites throughout South Wales and the South of England.
Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of various roofing systems, including slate, metal, and felt roofs
• Cleaning and clearing gutters, downpipes, and drainage systems
• Supporting roof repair and preventative maintenance works
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Delivering a professional and customer-focused service on site
• Recording job information using company systems and basic IT applications
• Travelling to customer locations as required

To be considered, you will have:

• Previous experience within roofing maintenance, repairs, or a similar roofing environment
• Knowledge of roofing systems, gutters, and downpipes
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A full UK driving licence
• Basic IT skills
• A flexible approach to working hours and travel requirements
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team

Ideally, applicants will be based in or around the Cwmbran area to support travel across the region.
