Who are we?The West Midlands Growth Company (WMGC) is the region's economic development delivery organisation.
From April 2026, we will lead the delivery of regionally commissioned economic development activity aligned to the West Midlands Growth Plan, working in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority and local authorities.

The RoleAs our new Programme Coordinator, you'll provide operational, coordination, and administrative support across a range of commissioned programmes and projects. Working closely with programme leads, partners, providers, and stakeholders, you'll help ensure programmes are effectively planned, monitored, governed, and delivered against agreed objectives.

You'll Be Involved In:
Essential:
• Experience in a programme support, project coordination, administration, or business support role.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience producing reports, tracking actions, and maintaining accurate records.
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent relevant experience.
Desirable:
• Degree or relevant qualification in project, programme, or business administration.
• Knowledge of programme or project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, or MSP.
• Experience supporting commissioned programmes, contracts, or service delivery.
• Experience within the public sector or local government environment.
• Experience using project management or reporting tools.
