£16.00 per hour
£25.00 Night Out Allowance

Pertemps Sheffield is currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Day Drivers for an immediate start with a leading transport company based in Rotherham.

This is an excellent opportunity offering ongoing work, with the potential to become permanent for the right driver.

The Role

• Immediate starts available
  
  
• Day shifts with the earliest start time of 5:00am
  
  
• Typical shifts of around 10 hours, depending on routes
  
  
• Night outs are likely (£25.00 per night out)
  
  
• Work across a variety of contracts
  
  
• Deliveries to a range of customer sites, including MOD locations
  
  
• Strapping and securing loads before transport
  
  
• Some manual handling required
  
  
• Complete vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
  
  
• Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism
  
  
• Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations
  
  

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
  
  
• Valid Driver CPC
  
  
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  
  
• No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
  
  
• Experience with load strapping and securing is desirable
  
  
• A professional, reliable and flexible approach to work
  
  
• Successful applicants will be required to pass a driving assessment before starting work
