Work collaboratively with social workers, health professionals, families and external agencies. Maintain a strong safeguarding culture and ensure child protection procedures are followed. Guide staff through supervision, training, development and professional growth. Assist with staff recruitment, induction and retention activities. Coordinate shift planning, staffing levels and effective oversight of the home. Promote young people s wellbeing and implement Positive Behaviour Plans. What we are looking for: Previously worked as an Assistant Manager, Children's Home Deputy Manager, Deputy Manager, Assistant care Manager, Assistant home Manager, Deputy care Manager, Deputy home Manager, Children's Residential Team Leader, Team Leader, Senior Residential Support Worker, Senior Support Worker or in a similar role. Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People s Workforce or equivalent qualification. At least 1 year of experience working within a children s residential home or children s services environment. Experience supervising or supporting a team within a children s residential care setting. Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Experience supporting staff teams and contributing to effective care delivery. Understanding of children s home regulations, care standards and safeguarding procedures. Experience or understanding of trauma-informed care would be beneficial. IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft applications. Full UK driving licence.
