Senior Civil Engineer

SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER
Location: Bristol
Salary: 45,000 to 56,000 plus benefits

Ready to step into a Senior Civil Engineer role where you can lead projects, influence technical direction and help grow a high-performing civil engineering team? This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering residential, commercial and industrial developments across the UK, with clear progression toward Principal and Associate level.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will take ownership of the civil engineering elements of appraisal, planning and detailed design, acting as a key technical and client-facing lead while supporting and developing junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
Lead highways and drainage design for development projects
Manage pre-purchase feasibility and discharge of planning conditions
Oversee Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies and SuDS design
Deliver S38, S278 and S104 technical approvals
Produce and review drawings, calculations and 3D ground models
Coordinate with architects, planners, authorities and statutory bodies
Mentor engineers and support team development
Contribute to fee proposals and scope management

About You
Strong UK consultancy experience in development infrastructure
Proven background in highways and drainage design
Confident leading projects and managing technical delivery
Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and drainage software
Client-focused, commercially aware and ambitious to progress
