MET Technician

Our client, an award-winning vehicle accident repair centre based in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, is seeking a skilled Vehicle MET/Strip Fit Technician to join their highly reputable team. • Salary between 35,000 and 40,000 per annum, dependant on experience and qualifications
• Performance-related bonus with uncapped on-target earnings around 45,000 per annum
• 40-hour week, Monday to Friday; no weekends required

Duties as a MET Technician will include:

• Accurately and efficiently remove and replace mechanical, electrical, and trim components on vehicles
• Identify hidden damage post-strip and collaborate with colleagues to compile parts and labour lists
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and company standards
• Perform repairs safely, maintaining high quality standards
• Support collision repairs by assisting with structural and cosmetic repairs as required
• Liaise with team members to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• Support ongoing vehicle repair processes by maintaining a safe and productive working environment

Requirements:

• Recognised qualification in automotive MET or vehicle body repair; qualified Vehicle Technician candidates are also encouraged
• Additional qualifications in electric/hybrid vehicle technology are highly advantageous
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, assisting colleagues when needed
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
• UK driving licence with minimal points
• Previous experience in vehicle body repair or MET work within a collision repair environment
