Are you an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer looking to join a fast-growing, dynamic specialist maintenance business?
Due to continuous growth and key contract wins across North East England, we are seeking a customer-focused, skilled Gas Engineer to deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and commissioning across a diverse and high-profile commercial property portfolio.
You will cover a rich variety of sectors including Healthcare, Retail, Hospitality, and Leisure, ensuring no two days are the same while benefiting from genuine opportunities for long-term career progression and paid professional development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform servicing, fault-finding, maintenance, and emergency repairs on commercial gas appliances, plant, and heating systems.
Carry out routine safety inspections, gas testing, purging, and issue appropriate CP12/commercial safety certification.
Work across commercial plant rooms, boilers, hot water systems, and associated mechanical controls.
Complete detailed digital job reports and compliance documentation via tablet/mobile app.
Participate in a manageable call-out rota to support key commercial heating contracts across the region.
Maintain excellent client relationships while acting as a key technical ambassador for the company on site.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Commercial Gas Tickets (Essential): Valid Commercial Gas Safety qualifications (COCN1 or CODNCO1, CORT1, CTP1, CDGA1, ICPN1, etc.).
Domestic Gas (Desirable): Domestic Gas Safety tickets (CCN1) are advantageous.
Experience: Proven experience servicing and maintaining commercial plant rooms, heating setups, and mechanical systems.
Licence: Full UK Driving Licence with no major endorsements.
Location: Based in North East England (Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Middlesbrough, or surrounding areas).
