We're looking for an Applications Engineer to become part of our experienced and supportive team. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. One day you could be proving out a brand-new machine for a customer, the next you'll be delivering operator training, developing machining strategies, or demonstrating the latest technology to customers and dealers. Your responsibilities will include: Visiting customer sites across the UK and Ireland to install, set up and prove our machines. Delivering operator and engineer training for customers and dealer networks. Developing machining methods, tooling strategies and CNC programs to solve customers' manufacturing challenges. Supporting the sales team with technical demonstrations, time studies and machining solutions. Carrying out machine demonstrations for customers and dealers, explaining machining processes in a clear and engaging way. Installing machines in customer facilities and showrooms. Testing and commissioning machines to ensure safe, reliable operation. Providing telephone and on-site technical support for customers and dealers. Learning new machine technologies and attending manufacturer training courses. Supporting exhibitions, open days and customer events throughout the UK and Europe. PERSON SPECIFICATION: Applications Engineer - Industrial Machinery We're looking for an Applications Engineer who enjoys engineering just as much as they enjoy helping people. You'll ideally have: Experience and a proven track record a similar position within CNC machinery or manufacturing. Strong knowledge of metal cutting processes, tooling and machining methods. The ability to develop complete manufacturing processes for finished components. Excellent problem-solving skills and a practical engineering mindset. Confidence communicating with customers, operators and colleagues. The ability to work independently while also thriving as part of a collaborative engineering team. A willingness to travel throughout the UK, Ireland and occasionally overseas.
