26,000 - 28,000 (Depending on Experience)
We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a well-established law firm in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous criminal law experience to provide legal and administrative support to a busy team.
Legal Assistant Responsibilities:
- Supporting solicitors and fee earners with criminal law matters
- Preparing legal correspondence, court bundles and case documents
- Managing diaries, hearings, prison visits and key deadlines
- Liaising with clients, courts, police stations and barristers
- Maintaining case files and ensuring Legal Aid and GDPR compliance
Essential Skills:
- Previous experience within Criminal Law is essential
- Police Station Accreditation is highly advantageous
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Professional communication and outstanding client care skills
