Location: Thurlby (Office-based with flexibility when required)
Salary: c 25k with OTE 40k uncapped

Zest4Talent are recruiting on behalf of an ambitious, fast-growing fintech organisation seeking a driven Business Development Associate to join their expanding commercial team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious sales professional looking to develop into a full Business Development Manager role. You'll be joining a supportive environment where you'll receive structured training, coaching and a clear progression pathway, while earning commission and contributing to the company's continued growth.

The Role

As a Business Development Associate, you'll play an important role in generating new business opportunities and supporting the wider sales function.

Working closely with experienced Business Development Managers and the Sales Director, you'll learn the full sales process while taking responsibility for developing prospects, building relationships and progressing opportunities through the sales pipeline.

This is a genuine development role with a clearly defined route into a Business Development Manager position for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and engage potential new business opportunities.
• Build relationships with prospective clients across multiple sectors.
• Generate qualified appointments and sales opportunities.
• Develop your understanding of the complete sales cycle.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and manage follow-up activity.
• Work towards individual sales targets and KPIs.
• Collaborate with the wider commercial team to maximise business opportunities.
• Continuously develop your sales knowledge, commercial awareness and negotiation skills.

About You

We're looking for someone who is ambitious, resilient and eager to build a long-term career in business development.

You may already have experience in sales, customer service, recruitment, retail, hospitality or another customer-facing environment where you've demonstrated the ability to influence and build relationships.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a sales or customer-focused role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• The confidence to build rapport and engage with new people.
• Self-motivation and a desire to achieve and exceed targets.
• A willingness to learn, develop and progress within a commercial career.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
